When we started the design process for our hydration pack, we knew we had some specific features we wanted to build into the pack.

We know the bladder needed to contain 2L of fluid so you could remove bottles from the bike that get dusty or muddy depending on the conditions.

We didn’t want to pack to be too large and bulky and so the storage was kept to a minimum of holding lightweight garments such as a rain jacket or gilet.

We wanted a 4-way adjustable harness that you can easily adjust, making sure the pack was held tight to the back when riding to stop the pack from moving around and potentially making the rider unstable.

We wanted to use sustainable fabrics that were bombproof, allowing the bag to stand the test of time and repel brambles and shrubs. The fabrics needed to be water resistant too to help protect the contents if riding in the rain and we wanted to add some reflective detailing for riding at night.

The selected X-PAC® nylon sail cloth as we knew this was indestructible. X-PAC® has a tear strength of over 12LBS and is made using recycled Polyester X-PLY® ripstop. The finished fabric helps keep the bags weight to a minimum while offering supreme durability.

The lining is made from superfine recycled polyester produced from plastic recovered from the ocean.

The straps have been positioned to keep the bag close to the back and are easy to adjust so the pack fits chests from 36” to 44”. The straps connect at the centre via a quick release, 4-way buckle and the straps have integrated elastic panels, so the pack never feels constricting.

Neat tube cradles are positioned on the straps to always hold the bladder drinks tube in position for easy drinking and the bladder is secured inside the pack via a webbing strap.

Fast wicking, airflow mesh has been used on the back of the pack that sits next to the riders back to aid breathability and comfort and the base of the bag is finished with a wipeable recycled nylon fabric with reflective inserts.

Since the launch of the hydration pack, we have launched the ADVNTR hydration pack that features a clip on cargo pack for long days in the saddle or bike packing where you need to carry some kit.
