The face behind GRVL Apparel
I was born on a bike and have been riding all my life. Every discipline, be it BMX, Racing, MTB, Road and now Gravel, cycling is in my DNA.
A little about myself:-
For over 30 years, I have designed and developed some of the world’s most innovative sportswear for established sports brands. Because of this background, I have an established network of the very best fabrics mills, trim suppliers and manufacturers that my team can plug into, guaranteeing our products pack the quality and attention to detail required to compete with the best of the best in this arena.
How it all began...
Gravel came into my life in 2008 when I entered my first gravel race and absolutely loved it. It reminded me of my earlier days of Mountain Biking with a nice blend of speed I got from Road Cycling, allowing me to ride fast and far, surrounded by nature.
Off-road cycling, navigating roots, shale, mud and ruts require a more focussed ride vs watching out for white vans and potholes I was used to when riding road.
Gravel cycling lifts my mood and allows me to escape the noise of everyday life.

By working directly with mills and blending natural fibres in our jerseys, we are able to create a unique fabric that keeps you more comfortable that polyester while looking after the planet.Our sustainable jerseys maintain your temperature unlike synthetics that get you hot and sweaty and don’t attract bacteria, allowing you to ride for several days without needing to wash them, great for multi day bikepacking trips and the environment.When synthetic fibres are required, these are always sourced responsibly and made from recycled waste.
