Every ride takes us deeper into places worth protecting. They are not backdrops to performance, they are the reason we ride.
Earth Day is a reminder that protecting our environment is not the responsibility of one organisation, one campaign, or one day in the calendar. Real progress comes from the choices made every day. By individuals, communities, and the industries that shape the world around us.
The cycling industry hasn’t always got it right.
For decades, performance has come at the planet’s expense. Fast production cycles, heavy reliance on synthetic materials, and a culture built around constant replacement rather than lasting quality.
We chose a different path.
GRVL exists because we believe there is a better way to build cycling apparel, one that doesn’t treat nature as an afterthought, but recognises the responsibility that comes with riding through it.
GRVL is built on the belief that what you wear on the bike should work with nature, not against it. That means natural fibre blends where possible, responsible sourcing across every stage of production, and working with partners who share the same commitment to ethics, quality, and environmental responsibility.
Our approach is simple: build products to last, not replace.
Because durability is not just a performance metric, it is an environmental one. The longer something lasts, the less it demands from the planet.
Meaningful change does not come from one moment, one brand, or one decision. It is built through everyday choices, what we wear, how we ride, what we choose to support, and the standards we are willing to accept from the brands we buy from.
That is why we produce in small batches. Why we prioritise responsible manufacturing. Why we invest in materials like MERINO and TENCEL that deliver performance without the environmental cost of conventional synthetics. And why we work with factories and mills that are actively reducing water use, carbon emissions, and waste.
Responsibility also extends beyond the product itself. Through GRVL Forest, we plant a tree for every garment sold, helping to restore and protect the environments we ride through.
Protecting our playground isn’t a campaign. It isn’t just a seasonal message or a single day of reflection.
It’s our standard, and the standard we believe the industry should be held to.
Happy Earth Day 2026!
