Why GRVL?
I have chosen GRVL because gravel cycling and the companies’ aims and ethos reflects my passion for adventure, exploration, and community, while also aligning with my passion and background in environmental science and a commitment to sustainability. I believe in promoting cycling not only as a sport but as a way to connect with nature, encourage responsible choices in materials and brands we support, to protect the planet and maintain a holistic relationship as we continue into the future.
ABOUT LINDSAY JAMES
What Got You into Gravel Cycling?
The Pan Celtic Gravel rally. I was always a roadie that didn’t really like being on the road, but I liked to be challenged and to go fast! Entering the Gravel rally opened up a new world for me and I haven’t looked back since.
Gravel Goals for the Future?
I would like to start thinking about some bigger challenges now. There is a competitive itch that needs to be scratched. I have my sights set on a variety of rallies - all possibilities which I plan to narrow down at the end of the year. There are of course a large number of countries which I am still keen to explore.
Favourite Place to Ride Gravel?
The Istria region of Croatia this year had some unbelievable gravel trails, North German and South Norway also both have great tracks. More locally, The New Forest is my favourite!
Favourite Ride Snack?
Bananas! Styrkr Dark chocolate energy bar or Homemade Flapjack
Favourite Piece of GRVL Apparel?
Currently I love my Navy Hoodie and Cream cap.
Excited to see and support the new Women’s line and I have a sneaky feeling one style of bibs in particular are going to be my new go-to each ride.
