Join us for an unforgettable gravel cycling adventure in the stunning Kielder Forest, where nature's beauty meets thrilling trails. Your journey will be anchored by a three-night stay at the magnificent Comb Lodge and Estate, offering luxurious
accommodations and the perfect base for exploration, nestled among the lush greenery and serene landscapes of one of England's largest forests.

The Comb Reivers Estate has 60 acres of grounds, surrounded by the Kielder Forest and National Park. The Lodge is a beautifully converted traditional stone farm which sits at the head of the picturesque Tarset Valley, set away from the crowds, in the last true wilderness in England.

Home of the famous Dirty Reiver, Kielder Forest is one of the best sites for gravel cycling in the UK. Each day, you’ll venture out on thrilling rides, navigating scenic routes that showcase the beauty of the forest and its diverse wildlife.

After each exhilarating day in the saddle, return to the estate to indulge in excellent food crafted from local ingredients, ensuring that every meal is a delightful experience.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?:

Accommodation at Comb Lodge and Estate (Single or Shared Room):

Stay in luxury single or shared ensuite rooms at the scenic Comb Lodge and Estate, surrounded by beautiful forest and countryside. The accommodation is designed for relaxation after a day of riding, offering cosy and well-appointed rooms.

2 1⁄2 days of riding in Kielder Forest with carefully recce’d routes (100 km, 81 km & 43 km):

Each route is planned to offer an exciting and rewarding experience, with distances of 100 km, 81 km, and 43 km, allowing riders to explore varying terrains and enjoy breathtaking forest landscapes. GPX for each ride will be provided.

Breakfast and Dinner on each day of the trip:

Fuel your adventure with a continental breakfast to start your day and delicious,
professionally prepared dinners to wind down each evening. Dinner will be prepared and served by excellent local caterers Noisette Catering.

Lunch on each day.
Transport.
Ride refreshments.
*We will be making a cafe stop on each ride, which will allow for riders to re-fuel*

ITINERARY:

Day One - 11th September
Arrive at Comb Lodge and Estate for meet & greet.
Dinner at the Estate

Day Two - 12th September
Breakfast at the Estate.
Ride 1 - 81 km - 3,975 ft elevation.
  • Taking in Kielder Dam, The Lakeside Way, Kielder Viaduct, Kielder Observatory, Kielder Castle and Blakehope Nick Overlook
Dinner at the Estate

Day Three - 13th September
Breakfast at the Estate.
Ride 2 - 100 km - 3,975 ft elevation.
  • Taking in Wark Forest & Kielder Dam.
Dinner at the Estate

Day Four - 14th September
Breakfast at the Estate.
Ride 3 - 43 km - 1,250 ft elevation.
  • Taking in Bull Crag Peninsula, Kielder Water View and Kielder Castle.
