Top 5 Gravel Rides 2024 | GRVL Apparel

 Dirty Reiver - 19-21 April 2024

The Dirty Reiver was one of the first long gravel events to start  in the UK, attracting hundreds of cyclists to Kielder Castle Forest Park in Northumberland each April.

Choose from the full 200km Dirty Reiver, the shorter Dirty One Thirty (130km) or the Dirty Sixty Fiver (65km). All routes feature plenty of ups and downs on forest gravel roads with regular feed stations along the way. The beginning of spring can see some harsh conditions up in the Borders, so be prepared for all seasons.

Raiders Gravel - 29 August - 1 September 2024

Raiders Gravel is a long weekend of adventure and fun, and has a route with three timed stages on some of the UK's best gravel trails in Scotland's Galloway Forest Park.

Named for the Raiders Road, a 16km gravel trail which features in each of the three stages, giving you the choice to either race or ride, to try to best your time on the same route, or to just enjoy the scenery and atmosphere of the event.

With entries for solo riders or pairs, and separate starts for races or for a more ‘party pace’ style.

The long weekend starts with a social ride to check out the scenery and stretch your legs, and then a festival at the event HQ each evening, Raiders Gravel aims for a mix of competition, adventure, exertion, culture and relaxation.

Dorset Dirt Dash - 25-26 May 2024

Explore the rugged beauty of the Jurassic Coast with a choice of two rides: the Dorset Dirt Dash 5050 is a self-supported bikepacking event over two days, while the Dorset Dirt Dash 100 is "the ultimate one-day gravel grinder".

Like its sister events the Dunoon Dirt Dash (21-22 September 2024) and Cateran Dirt Dash (4-5 May 2024) expect a weekend of fresh air and adventure with a like-minded bunch of fun-seeking cyclists.

Both rides feature 100 miles of cycling over mixed and varied terrain, with the 50/50 split over two days with a campsite party and lavish BBQ in the middle.

There’s a great vibe with these events, having more of a moving festival feel to them, and no superfluous gifts given away by sponsors, rather an atmosphere of good food and community, with an inclusive and environmentally conscious ethos.

Frontier 300 - 7-9 June 2024

With the inaugural event in  2020, the Frontier 300 alters the familiar coast-to-coast format to a modern  gravel and bikepacking style. Starting at sunrise on the west coast of Scotland,  300km of tracks, trails, minor roads and adventure sees you on the east coast, hopefully by Sunday Brunch.

2024 sees a less ‘Epic’  ‘Adventure’ style, with luggage support and an overnight stay, splitting the event into 2 days., 180/120km.

Ekoi Stone Circle - 29 June 2024

Billed as a "A Mid-Summer Festival of Gravel Cycling”, starting from Old Sarum near the Medieval City of Salisbury, passing Stone Henge, then riding around the edges of the MOD training area of Salisbury Plain.

With the choice of  three routes of 55km to 220km, taking in some of the best trails that this area of the country has to offer. After only one running, it's now firmly a favorite in our events calendar, with some fantastic Hero Gravel sections and a really well designed route, and festive vibe.
